"To devise an artwork is the best of drugs, but better to shoot yourself in the knee than to execute it".

The path of the Barcelona artist begins in the world of fashion, where he works as artistic director for the fashion show of the Fédération Française du Vêtement in Paris, a place that has hosted the fashion shows of the best fashion houses, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Lanvin, Givenchy, Thierry Mugler, and Balmain. From 1995 to 2005, he is artistic director of the fashion department of some of the main Spanish magazines and newspapers: Man, Woman, Hola, El Mundo, La Vanguardia, El Periódico and La Razón.

The passion for fashion is what inspires Pérez Soler in his creative process and is the reason why the fabric is the material that identifies him the most, coming to shape and transform it to achieve unexpected and impactful effects, as well as a great Variety of unique textures.

Sculptures that are born of a deep process of investigation on the use and the combination of different materials, in which the use of the cotton cloth on wood and polycarbonate stands out.

After having worked on classic and mythological subjects, he presents us the series “Tauromaquia”: large format works, inspired by one of the most identifiable traditions of Spanish culture. The world of bulls and bullfighters, with Perez Soler, finds a new, elegant and unexpected form, dictated by expressive freedom, it manifests through the use of metallic paint and fluorine colours, which give the pieces an extraordinary visual impact.
